Dear Family and Friends,
As you may know, I am a proud volunteer/supporter for Frisco Family Services, an organization whose mission is “We help members of our communities who are facing hunger, homelessness and other urgent needs improve their quality of life and achieve self-sufficiency”.
FFS carries out their mission by operating a food pantry and providing emergency financial assistance to residents who are facing a crisis (such as an illness or divorce) or a financial hardship (such as a job loss), as well as many special programs that help individuals, children and seniors in need.
FFS has launched a campaign called FEED FRISCO - which is raising the funds (and food/supplies) necessary to relocate the existing food pantry to a larger, more accessible and more efficient space. This move will triple the space used by clients and volunteers (like me), allowing us to serve more people in our community who are facing hunger. Last year alone we distributed more than 380,000 pounds of food to more than 4,000 people!
The move will cost more than $75,000 and we have already raised $45,000! Please consider making a donation in support of this effort! Any donation amount is appreciated and will help us reach our goal!
